I am going to get a refund back afterall, yeah!! So I went to the IRS website to check on the status (mailed my taxes in three to four weeks ago). I wonder if this website really does work, because I asked my EXH to do the same, he got the same result. Has anyone had success in checking their refund status on line?

I efiled....I got basically the same standard reply (gave dates would be deposited by) up until about 2 days before it was deposited, then it told me when it would be deposited, and it was done on the day it specified. My guess is once they cut the check, they will probably change the message.
I see Demi...I guess it's just a waiting game. I did not efile, I don't why my accountant chose not to do this.
Maybe I just have a complicated situation. I owe the IRS currently so I won't really get ALL of it back, but more likelty I will net half. They are still deducting my monthly payment however!! Now that I moved last year, I get to pay a nice township tax of 1.25% of my annual income, whereas, in my former neighborhood, I didn't have this wage tax.
Can't win.
