Suggestion to mods for future AMAs:

I noticed when the AMA was announced, there wasn't much info about the user.

Some of us are new members of the site and don't know who the AMA person is, why they are the AMA candidate for that month, or what they are able to answer.

Providing a brief backgrouond about the user would be helpful for askers to prepare questions before the AMA goes live.

Good suggestion.

But bear in mind sometimes the users want to remain anonymous so background info. cannot be disclosed.  The whole goal of the AMA is to get to know users on here, why they join the board, mistakes etc. 

And it sort of defeats the purpose to announce all of that in advance. The option is given to the user taken questions if they want to disclose their background, age, gender etc. But it is not a must of the AMA.

@There will be part two with @Anonymous so that those who didn't get the opportunity to get their questions in can participate.  Part two is going to be held in the first week of July.  Once everything is confirmed, I will come back and update the thread.

We are hoping this can be held earlier so that everyone can participate.  See you there...
