Re: Ipad financing

Although an iPad is expensive, it is very much a purchase that can be done in one shot. Have you considered saving up for one for a few months and paying in full? Then there is no need to open a new card and it looks like you're making the purchase in 6 months anyway.

Re: Ipad financing

I love my iPad! Wait till November -- Black Friday. Barclay's is more generous w/approvals and CLI then, and the iPad goes on sale on Black Friday for the only time all year.

Also, that's when they'll probably have another 12 mos @ 0% offer for the iPad. Usually they only give you 12 mos @ 0% for over $999, but at the holidays they offer the 12 mos for smaller purchases, I think around $500 and up. I got 12 mos @ 0% on my iPad.

Edits, funky spacing and spelling due to my iPad not getting along with the forum editor!

@Anonymous to Apple, the ONLY time iPads go on sale is Black Friday. And, they have an agreement with retailers to sell @ full retail price, so they cannot discount the iPad. If you see a sale on IPad, it may be that other items have been added as a bonus and then discounted, or something like that. But the iPad cannot be discounted by any retailer. That is what Apple told me, anyway.
