As of this morning, I'm a contributor instead of a member. But I'm a New Contributor.
So I guess I've been rebucketed, and have to work my way up to not looking like a newbie again.
The way they have it set up allows for you move up quite fast right at first, so you likely won't be a 'New Contributor' very long.

I'll also add that once you get to 'Valued Contributor' the movement seems to slow down a bit, but folks can always see your post count, which to me means more than an arbitrary 'rank' anyway.
