Marriott Status Upgrade

Hey All,

I am sure this has been asked and answered a million times over, but it can probably be answered with one word! 

I have Marriott Gold through Amex Platinum and am considering getting the Bonvoy Business Card.  This card give you 15 nights towards increasing status.  Does this mean I will just need ten nights to qualify for Platinum?  (Gold is 25 nights, Platinum starts at 50).

No.

You will still need 50 night total for platinum.  Matched status does not count as a baseline.
