My MyFico Moment

So I work in a, let's just say "financial services" firm. I work in the banking group and I frequently find myself more and more talking to the analysts who cover the big credit card banks, discover, cap1, ge money bank, etc. It's funny that they actually concur with much of my opinons. most of which were gleamed from what I learned here.

It's funny that my firm thinks more highly of Cap1 than of Discover. Go figure.

Probably because Cap1 is actually one of the only banks to turn a very large profit and its stock is a very good buy at the present moment.

They lost money this last quarter but all in all if i remember the numbers turned a 3.6 bil profit

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Re: My MyFico Moment

part of that nice little windfall is their excessive growth and acquistion over the last 3 or 4 quarters. its not sustainable and eventually integration costs will catch up with them.
