NFCU Go Rewards update
The mastercard verison is now a World Mastercard.
The mastercard version is now a "flat card" with the numbers on back.

It is completely illogical that they change ONE CARD to have the numbers on the back and not the rest of them.

NFCU has another flat card. The American Express More Rewards Card.
I really hate un-embossed cards. Chase started all of this nonesense and now everybody wants to copy it. Chase does them right at least.
BofA, Capital One, Citi, Discover and so many more are going this route and it is a bit disappointing for someone that likes traditional cards. I have to say though, my NFCU Cash Rewards card looks awful after just one year of heavy use-I can no longer read the account number; meanwhile my Citi TYP card looks brand new. There is something to be said about the duribility of the un-embossed cards and they do sit nice and level in a wallet. Still don't love them though
Personally, I like the unembossed cards better. The ink on the embossed numbers always seems to wear off quickly. Also, the unembossed cards stack better in my wallet. It's not like anyone is using carbon paper to record credit card transactions anymore, so it's not like embossing is needed aside from aesthetic reasons.
