$^@(!@O)#!!!!

How many of you have accidentally left your wallet or credit cards in your pants and then put them in the washer!?!? I must admit, i've never seen a more shiney Capital One card... But it will do me no good with a half melted mastercard logo from the dryer! eeeeeek!!

Goal: 700 and an Amex Card!

Re: $^@(!@O)#!!!!

Thankfully, this hasn't happened to me yet. I wonder if a washing machine could damage the NFC/EMV chips in CCs.

Re: $^@(!@O)#!!!!

I had cash, cards, driver's license, etc. washed and dried (!) on a late Saturday when I was supposed to fly out on Sunday. I was mighty glad when I found it all cooked - until that point I had overturned the entire place thinking it was lost (and I was supposed to fly out!). Even after the cooking, the DL was in reasonable shape and even if the cards couldn't be swiped, they were good enough for people to see and punch in numbers manually.

Thats sucks too!  Ever see planes tranes and automobiles? Remember the part where steve martins wallet was fried to a crisp from a car fire, and he goes to pay for a hotel room and pulls out the charred wallet and then starts to pull out the burned credit cards and he goes "diners club"... and its a tiny black melted piece of unrecognizable plastic.. Classic!

I have one of these.

It wouldn't suck so much if I was able to carry more than 3 bills in it. For cards though, it's pretty decent.

Re: $^@(!@O)#!!!!

Mine was in a leather ID case. I was actually quite impressed that most of it survived except for developing a bend. Unfortunately, I've grown out of wanting to carry heavy stuffed wallets.

It is a nice wallet, but I will stick with my  Mod Cut. Sorry. That link show images and words that are not allowed. I've asked you before to keep your comments g-rated.
