I grew up in Wisconsin, not exactly a Sunbelt State. When I was a teenager, my father was a Visiting Professor in Nottingham. One day in early December, after what had seemed to me a very dismal November, the local paper had a front page story: November had been the sunniest November on record!
Well, Belgium has been gray and wet. But as I am inside most of the time, no sweat.
And I ate in a converted monastry last night!
Travel safe, MV, and do please say hi to Perfidious Albion for me - haven't visited in a couple of years, and I do miss it; it's one of my favorite relief-from-the-infernal-desert destinations. Rain is a novelty, for me, after so many years here in AZ, so I don't mind the often wet weather there!
