It looks like there was a change to the acct this evening. The card is different (hopefully, we get new cards. I always hated that card). The name also appears to be different. Next to the card, it says:
My PayPal Card
PayPal Cashback World Mastercard®
ETA: I got an email from them tonight: "Your PayPal Cashback Mastercard is getting a makeover!
Soon you'll start seeing a new and refreshed look, while still receiving the same 2% cash back* that you know and love on all purchases."
I don't see anything through the app or mobile.

I did see on the app earlier the design of the card is different. Just a slight difference tho. Didn't notice any other changes though.

If you login via desktop which would redirect to the SYNCB site, it displays a refreshed/new image of the PayPal Cashback MC. I don't believe it displays on mobile or the app.
I personally think the old card looks better.
But what I did notice is there is now a "contactless" symbol on the card. Which means they will be rolling out contactless cards. Which is nice since they don't let you add it to Apple Pay.

It's extremely basic. I hate it. Old card looks more appealing to me.

Isn't the World Mastercard indicative of a new tier of Mastercard related services? One blog notes

If this is that, the upgrade adds some cell phone loss coverage, various travel and shopping benefits as described in this link.
Or it may be prelude to getting one's credit limit slashed or closure of account
