I have been with them for 3 years, just got my renewal polify. It went up 700 dollars a year!!!!! I immediately called them and though it was because of my daughters recent fender bender, they said no that claim was waived, the damage was under 500. So she proceeds to tell me it is because of insurance rate adjustments in VA and they also evaluated my credit score. I said well my scores are very good and I just got 2 quotes from other companies GEICO and esurance both were about the same price I was paying before the rate hike. So needless to say I am switching , I hate switching but they are ridiculous.
I have seen some things that GEICO offers that othes don't. One such example - If you are in Management your rates drop, education your rates drop, credit your rates drop. So in one conversation with GEICO I saw my rates go up when I mentioned that I had switched careers and was no longer in management. It went up nearly $25-$35/mo. Immediately, I said that I still owned my own company and that I was CEO of my own company and it went back down. Total BS!
^ I *do* like that they let you stack the heck out of discounts. And they're pretty liberal with them. There's a local university that my workplace is associated with and they gave me that discount on top of all of the others. Pretty nice.
I'll have to tell them I'm in management, I dunno if I've got that one.
