My bonus/raise is due later this month, but SO and I are going leaf-peeping this weekend.
Split my payment to keep util down. The ring is out for delivery now and they still haven't charged the second card.
I called them yesterday and they claim I'm fully paid, and that they definitely have charged the second card.
Either someone there messed up and coded me as fully paid by accident, or charged someone else's card somehow (which seems like an unlikely thing to be able to happen). Or USAA authorized the charge and lost it somewhere in their system. Which also seems pretty unlikely.
I talked to USAA and they say there hasn't even been an authorization attempt for $7k let alone a posted charge.
I will try to get it straightened out, but I hope no one gets in trouble. This is the third time in a year that I've had to track down why I haven't been charged or billed for something over $1,000.
