Though that would probably be illegal. lolShe just really stuck it to a couple who have been living off their credit cards, even paying their mortgage with credit cards. They are now $90k in CC debt. They sat there silently listening to her basically yell at them, but I think they got her message and I think she's sending a very important message to all the viewers. I hardly EVER watch TV during the day. Honestly. I don't know what the heck made me turn on the TV - and for it to be Suze Orman on the screen it was just too strange that I caught it.I guess one good thing about having had an issue with my credit over the years was that I learned to only buy what I can afford. I have no debt and everything I have is paid in cash. I even do what she said and keep my cars for 10 years until they die.I would have done that anyway, I am just one of those people that doesn't care about a new vehicle, I just need the darn thing to get me from point A to point B. Though I am guilty of paying $200 for a pair of jeans...(ridiculous! I know) so I'm not faulting anyone for wanting a nice vehicle!
Anyway, off on a tangent I am again, I guess I am lucky in this economy to be debt free. The thing she talked about and said a few times that makes me worry is the ability to get a mortgage. Darn it, I'm in my 30's, with a 10 yr old son and I've been busting my butt to reach a point where I could buy us a home. I could have done it a few years back, but I wanted to wait until I was in a better position. It makes me a little nervous to think that I still won't be able to do that. Eeek. I hope not.

Our scores are still bad, as I've only made a LITTLE progress on them and haven't worked on credit issues since before Hurricane Gustav! We found out today, much to our surprise, that we may be able to qualify for a house we've been looking at. It's a foreclosure, built just last year, sitting on an acre with the inside unfinished. This is perfect for us because we WANT to finish it!UpUpUp, please PM & let me know what state you're in (I know you've told me but I forget...sorry).
