Re: THIS IS HOW YOU ADD CREDIT CARD PICS TO YOUR PROFILE

This should be an automatic option on this website where you can display your cards or not… You should not have to go through all this incredible nonsense the longest

It's a waste of time and it means nothing… Unless it was automatic from FICO people could put anything they want down... it's just an ego thing like getting friends or likes on YouTube… Do something more useful like rearrange your sock drawer

@Boybluejay  If these bother you so much maybe not the best boards for you?

We certainly welcome suggestions of course . I personally don't list my cards, but it does help when members are seeking advice and we can get a better picture of their profile

@Boybluejay, while there is no "Delete Post" option, you can edit or remove ALL of the content of a post if you do it within about 48 hours of posting.  (After that, editing option disappears.)  If you click on the three vertical dots on the upper right of your post, you can use the "Report Inappropriate Content" link to message a Moderator at any time and ask for one of your posts to be deleted.

Welcome to My FICO Forums, @Boybluejay

Yes, the HTML posting is a little tricky but not as difficult as it might first appear.  And of course, it's optional.  I agree with @Jnbmom that it serves a purpose beyond ego.  The signature makes it easier to identify our profiles to each other without repetition.  It makes it easier for our members to get a feel for the perspective of others, both for soliciting advice and for receiving it.  I can quickly tell a lot about a person's situation if they post data points, which helps me to give better advice.  Likewise, a profile with data points showing responsible and lengthy credit history adds credibility for when advice is given.  Many of us also use our signatures personally as a easy way to concisely track our accounts and make plans for the future.  I enjoy seeing the cards other members have chosen, and sometimes learn more about the financial institutions or the benefits of those cards by searching them on the web.   So the signatures serve many purposes on our forums.  Welcome again, Boybluejay.

Yes, @dledo, similar to how you add them in.

  • Click on your Member Profile ICON (Upper right of page);
  • Select "My Settings";
  • Select "Personal Information" tab to expand;
  • Look in the "Signature" Block for the code.

If you're on desktop/laptop, you can expand the size of the window (laterally and/or vertically) by clicking and dragging from the lower right corner.

Each card's HTML code looks something like this:

<img height="55" width="75" src="image file location" border="0" title="name of card" />

So select from the < carrot to the > carrot on either side of the card you wish to delete.  When I'm editing, I find it easier to put some temporary line spaces to break each card apart for easier review; then I delete the unnecessary spaces when done.
