The silly things we find amusing and motivating :)

When I started the journey to stellar credit 6 months ago, I had no idea what a FICO vs FAKO score was... Heck, I had no idea there WERE different scores.  I just knew that my TU score (FAKO) SUCKED!!!!  543 it was!!!!

Well... on my journey of being what I call a "credit nazi" .... or rather "credit obsessed" I am the one who obsessively checks ALL my scores... EVERY day!!!!! Smiley Happy

It keeps me motivated... every little bit of movement is incredible!

What keeps you all motivated?

today... it was seeing my TU FAKO score hit 700!  Doesn't mean crap... but it was the first time anything's hit 700 since I started this journey!  So I'm taking it!! Smiley Happy

What keeps me motivated?

Sharing knowledge and helping others to be better empowered for a richer life style

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?

Fako or not, congrats on hitting 700 on a scoring model, lol.

My family keeps me motivated. A great credit score vs a poor credit score can be the differenc between giving my family that house they love or being able to afford that car we have been wanting for 10 years. it is also a huge factor in quite a few professions from banking to any job requiring a security clearance.

A better credit report means a better life (sadly, that is somewhat accurate)

It's funny, or not... but all of the things you guys have said, they're dead on!  Even hanging with the "cool kids" haha...

It's amazing how much I've learned from my experience on here!!  I probably spend WAY too much time on here.... but if I had to choose between the community boards here, and Facebook, I'll choose here ANY day!!!! Smiley Happy

And AZguy... you're SOOOO right!!!  So much now-a-days is driven off of a score.  That score allows you to buy a certain "quality" of life.... and yes, even some jobs!! Crazy, but I suppose with all of the craziness in the world now, its nice to have "something" that's somewhat concrete to hold onto! Smiley Happy

Good point on the 700 on a ranking scale of some sort!  it's the first 700 I've hit in WAY....TOO....LONG!! Smiley Happy   Now... shooting for 700 FICO! Smiley Happy
