Who else is getting metal Platinum?

Amex will allow you to order a replacement metal Platinum in exactly a week, I plan to order one just to compare it to the CSP/CSR and Ritz. Who else is planning to order one?

I'm going to see if they'll send it to me in Asia. Otherwise I will have to wait until May to get it.

If I had a US (or any) Platinum Charge Card, I'd want to avoid this like the plague - remember, a metal card means you will lose contactless. It's much better to have a card that's actually more useful (a contactless card), than to have a card that... well, weighs your wallet down, I guess?

I have zero contactless cards, don't want to have to worry about some RFID theif brushing past me

All my cards have chips but i will not have a contactless card due to security issues.

Good thing you don't have to worry about that anyway. It's a completely unfounded fear, contactless payment technology is extremely secure.
