You nurses out there

With the exception of about a month, my DW has been in the hospital and I by her side. First of all, you nurses rock. Second of all, how can you stand coming to work everyday and hearing these IV machines beep non stop. I thought the ones we had in Milwaukee were annoying, but they are nothing compared to the ones now. Now, if someone doesn't get to the machine quick enough, it gets LOUDER.

Props to you for not going all 'Office Space' on IV machines at work each day.

Haha, I like it.

Seriously though, I have no idea how nursing isnt one of the most stressful jobs. In my mind, it is right up there next to Air Traffic Controller at Atlanta Internaitonal Airport, lol

The machines are just like kids, eventually you learn to tune them out for your own sanity, but somehow we can still hear when it goes into an alarm pattern.  I haven't nursed in over a decade, but I remember how it was.

I remember one night I woke up to 3 of them going off at once, lol. It was crazy. I think that night the DW was on 4 seperate machines and a pain pump. So many noises Smiley Sad

After this experience, I will never get on a nurse's bad side.
