It'd be cool, but I think if they were going to do it, they would've done it by now. Had plenty of chances during the last two years where everyone was issuing metal cards. Great opportunity when they made the platinum metal, but they chose not to do it.

Amex may want to keep Platinum distinctive from their other products. Plus, if they made PRGs look as nice, some restaurant spend might shift from low-reward Platinums to higher-reward PRGs.
