Hoping someone can help me . I went to store this evening tried to call my hubby I had no cellular service came home had to log on to WiFi for phone to access internet . I contacted Apple support they told me to update nope didn't work . I contacted straight talk they said everything looks fine on their end told me to call a * feature then turn off phone and restart nope still doesn't work unless I am on WiFi which doesn't me 💩 when I am not home 😡😡😡
Any suggestions and explain it to me like I am an eight year old lol
Pure shot in the dark here....did your phone somehow get switched to airplane mode? Even if in airplane mode though, I’m not sure if the issues you are having would apply?
No I checked that straight talk sent a reboot worked for a few minutes then no service again grrrrr
This article has several potential fixes if you haven’t already tried these....good luck, hope you get it working!

Have you tried resetting network settings? Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings
That is the thing that usually fixes it. Given that you have already done some troubleshooting, next step is to use the Reset All Settings command and if that doesn't work, iCloud backup and then do Erase All Content and Settings. That last one is a factory reset and is the absolute last resort because if it fixes your signal, you may lose it again if you restore your backup which would mean having to set the device up totally from scratch.
Have you tried pulling the Sim, cleaning it, and reseating it?

Thanks all, after being on the phone for quite sometime with straight talk they were able to reboot somehow and so far so good .
i appreciate all the tips and will copy and paste for future reference.
thanks again 😊
I had asked my DD first she is pretty techy she said "mother apple can't help with no service " don't you know that 🙄

Glad that they got it fixed for you.
Apple can't help with the service but if the device is defective and under warranty, they're the ones who would be replacing it. Apple has had problems with this before and actually had a replacement program for iPhone 7s that were showing "No Service" because it was a hardware issue.

Thanks good to know
