GW Dept of Ed on paid off account

I have an account that was at one time (a couple months ago) 120+ days late (i know...ouch) but the thing is that it is paid off now. I'm trying to get the late off since it is paid off. I tried calling the regular line and after trying to explain what i meant for about 10 min the guy said that they didn't have a goodwill department. Does anyone have any suggestions or backdoor numbers? any help will be appreciated!

I would call and ask if that late would qualify for any type of rehabilitation program where you make ontime payments for the next 9-12months and they remove the late from your record.  If not, you may want to just write a few letters in to regular customer service and see if you can get it removed.  Just explain what happened that caused you to be late, and that things are much better now, and you've made on time payments and don't forsee any issues in the future.  Hopefully that will get you somewhere.  Unfortunately I don't know of any backdoor numbers or anything.  Good luck.  Let us know how it goes.
