I have a student loan that I am in the 5-year process for Cancellation of the loan that is serviced directly though the college I attended. I have late payments dating from Sept. 06 through June of 07 due to the bills going to a different address and me not knowing about this small loan that was not consolidated with the rest of my loans. Upon learning of this loan in June of 07, I immediately completed the Cancellation form and have been in this process ever since. I am just wondering If writing a GW letter to my college to see if those late payments could be removed would be worth it?
