Hello all and good luck as we all work to seek ways to improve our credit.
I have a numerous student loans, all of which have been consolidated through the new federal program. However, one loan from a private lender which has been sold to NCO for collection is not consolidated and has a current a balance of 75k, which includes a monstrosity of fees (25k+). The original loan was 50k, and some of the money was used to pay medical bills. Either way, I am looking to get this loan resolved, I have looked at Bankruptcy (they said NO to school loans), and tried to settle with NCO (they are asking for 55k paid in full or 1k/mth), I can not afford either.
Has any one ever dealt with NCO and settled or included a loan like this in Bankruptcy and had it discharged?
I am cleaning up the rest of my credit but if I can't get this to go away, I am in trouble (I think!)...
PS. It shows up on my credit as National City PNC and/or USA funds and is listed numerous times in amounts that don't add up to what they say I owe.
I welcome any advice.
