Student Loan Refunds

I have some loan that was being refunded and the cheque account was closed (Affinity FCU) and Affinity told me the just send the money back to as not an open account. Does anyone know if the dept of ed will just send me a cheque for the money refunded?

I think your best course of action is to call DOE and track the funds down.

🤔 It may be the best way to get as much information about the account's transactions or possibly update the DOE/service with routing and account numbers of another FI where you bank.
