Good morning,
So I've been a lurker on the forums for a while and I've come to the point where I need to ask my question...
I currently have my last student loan close to being out of default (Should be February 1st) and I'm trying to figure out how much I would owe at the end of it. Currently it stands about $3100 ($2500 + $600 collection cost). In the rehab agreement, it states:
4. Collection Costs of 16% WILL NOT be added to the total unpaid principle and interests at the time of the rehab sale to the lender PROVIDED I enter into a satisfactory repayment agreement agreeing to rehab my loans within 60 days of the default loan purchase letter AND I return this agreement, and it it received within 60 days of it dated (21 December 2015). I must fulfill all the terms of the repayment including having made my first agreed upon monthly payment no later then 75 days after the date of the default loan purchase letter.
So... basically I'm looking for layman's terms for the above.
Thanks in Advance!
Correct, were you able to get your tradelines removed? ... I just finished my rehab this month.
Wiso, this post is over 4 months old, and the OP hasn't posted much since he made it. Chances are you won't get any response. Instead of bringing up old posts, why don't you start a new post of your own with your specific question so that current users can provide you with some input?
Yes, I am still here.
For the most part, the lines were removed and the new ones are now in place. I have a new post following after my rehab here
Wisco, I'm sorry you found my message disrespectful as that was not the intent. I've been a regular poster in this section of myFICO for several years, and over time I've seen many newer users become frustrated when they post into older threads asking from responses from long-gone or very occasional posters. It's actually pretty unusual for someone like Zac to have come back into a thread like this, but it's awesome that they did and were able to give you some useful input.
My goal with my post was to keep you from being discouraged by a probable lack of response, remind a newer user to check post dates before replying (because in a slow sub-forum like this, it's easy to get into old posts as you browse), and also encourage a new post that might open up more discussion with current users.
These suggestions have helped other users in the past get more responses and participate more in our community, so I'll continue to make them. Of course, you are free to do anything you like within Terms & Conditions of the forum. Good luck with your credit building!
