TPD Student Loan Discharge

I submitted my app for TPD student loan discharge on May 9th 2019. I am very concerned about my approval odds because my query states review after 3+ years. However, I’ve been on disability since 2006 and was just recently made aware of the forgiveness program pertaining to disability. In addition to having been on disability for more than 13 years, I’ll turn 60 years old this year and instead of being reviewed every 3 years, I receive notifications from Social Security advising me that there is no need to submit any documentation unless my status has changed and that there is no need for medical certification. So... it’s been about 30days and my app status still reflects “application under review”. Does anyone have any idea how this will turn out for me?

When I received my TPD, it took awhile for the paperwork but mine was done back in 2008.  You have to keep tabs on them because they misplace documentation frequently- at least in my case that happened.  Thank goodness I had kept good records and documented everything.  Once you hit the 3 years you'll receive the final discharge but your reports should update once you receive the approved paperwork.
