2 different(3 including myfico.com) credit reporting sites - all different numbers, why?

Which site gives the best or correct numbers for use of acquiring a mortgage and or credit cards?
Why are they all (sites)different?   Please keep in mind I inquired 2 different sites on the same day
I didn't think conducting my own inquiry would affect the scores

Welcome to the forums! FICO scores are what the majority of lenders pull. Please read the credit scoring 101 thread in my sig line, it explains the difference in scores and why.
