FICO® SCORE CHANGE 663-640
****I LOST 23 POINTS DUE TO A CREDIT LINE INCREASE ON MY EXPERIAN...WHY ..WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED. I'm trying to build my score 1 year after BK...
Score was TU 579: EX 600 EQ 600 on 3/2015.....Now: TU 635: EX 640: EQ 638. I was 663 yesterday..does it mater if I try to pay off a bill and increase my credit line?
Or possible that your BK aging past a year had something to do with it too. Or that something else occurred, possibly there are deliquencies and other on the IIB accounts. A CLI is a trigger for a tradeline updating, but there are tons of changes which don't trigger a score update and so they get rolled up into the CLI.
Fact is if you have a busy report it's hard to point to something and say "Yup that's it!" Even I can't really do that on my report right now and I've been stable for years, but with a bunch of inquiries and new accounts it's hard to tease out something like my AAOA (3 -> 2 years) change though it certainly looks to be in the 4-6 point range.
I just don't see a 20+ point drop on any FICO algorithm for a CLI.

Thank you for your response..![]()
Since my BK, I haven't had any negatives reported on all three reports. I'm enrolled in Fico's monitoring so I get alerts all the time.

I've looked at my report online with Experian today...there's nothing different.
My Fico TU went up 3 point and my EQ went up 5 due to my CLI a couple of days ago.
Experian is different. They were my highest score...now it's matched TU at 635 and EQ at 638
What are your though???
It's probably tied up in the age of derogatories; I have the strong impression it's not linear and older isn't always better when we're talking short time horizons potentially. Bucketing is a wierd animal and I think how FICO is getting the multiple dirty buckets is based more on PR age than PR type.
Honestly my advice to you would be don't worry about the ups and downs as you go through your rebuild; a 1 year old BK is a big thing to come back from. Keep clean and keep working at prettying up your file as it's a long walk. FICO scores are pretty meaningless unless you need to do something with them; other than a car or house, or maybe as a factor of employment, day to day FICO's and the various changes should likely be ignored other than assuring never being late, never paying less than the minimum, and never ever missing a payment.
If you do those things eventually you'll get where you want to go, just your BK is even longer than my tax lien journey... I'm not clean till late 2017, two more years to go. Meh. That said I have pretty much everything I want from a credit perspective as I've never gotten denied (other than a BOFA CLI, w/e), just in some cases I paid more money than I needed to along the way to finance my life.

***I KNOW WHAT HAPPENED...Ordered 7 day trail and one of my charge off accounts was updated to " included in BK". Per Experian this is a recent delinquency.
Updated 9/1/2015. This should have been done 4/2014....and I dispute this?

Check in the BK or Rebuilding forum as this isn't likely an isolated case and they may know a better method for dealing with it.
