At the time of the Bk in late 1998 i had just gone through a very bad divorce. I was broke and was starting a new career in insurance. As it is, 10 years later i have my own agency (41/2 years now) and have done as good as I think could have. 5 years into the BK I remarried a wonderful woman, had a son, aquired 2 homes (one is a rental now, but was our first home purchased together) and income is way up in six figures since 2007.
I can't deny it was very, very tough those first 3-4 years. Mostly because the insurance contracts i needed ask about BK and it had to be explained over and over to them as to how this happened and why etc....Dealing with other peoples money and a lot of it i can understand.
Also trying to buy things i needed or advertise with hardly any credit was hard but managed to do what i could. It was a long hard ride but now have over $150,000 of credit card limits and 0 balance on them all.
