AAoA and consolidation

When Cap1 finally decides one of my accounts is eligible, WHICH ALL 3 ARE! (Different story lol) I'm planning on putting my two oldest cards with them together. They are both Quicksilvers. I will combine no annual fee with annual fee. My question is these are my two oldest accounts after bankruptcy. Is this going to affect my average? Since it's no longer 2 cards that are two years old, it's only 1. Thank you! :-)

No, old closed tradelines stay on your report and factor into your history for 10 years after date of closure. It may affect your utilization.

Congrats on ditching the AF.

It's "up to 10 years." As I found out this year, they can be removed early. Nevertheless, you shouldn't fret too much about it. That will happen 5-10 years down the line, and won't be a very big hit when it occurs.

Interesting. Care to share what bank, what age or which bureaus? Would love to get more info.
