Hi All,
Quick question. I have two "Experian" FICO Score 8's that are different. The one my credit card gives says its a 729, but Experian says its a 754. I'm guessing I should take it directly from the horses mouth, and believe the Experian version. Why would they be so different, if they are from the same bureau and use the same scoring model? Experian gives you a score and access to a report for $1, just cancel before the 7 day trial is over. AMEX gives it as a perk each month.
Experian offers their own a plus score as well a Fico 8 score. Verify which one you are getting from Experian. The Experian Plus score by itself is available free.
Even if they both are Fico 08, the dates the actual scores were pulled are likely not the same. That can make a difference. I checked my EX Fico 8 score today through AMEX but the score was from a report pulled 9/30.
My AMEX is from the same date as you and says 723. My Experian FICO 8 was generated yesterday and says 754. I thought it might have been a FAKO score, but it clearly says FICO Score 8 powered by Experian above the number. Thanks for your input!
