For me, my FAKO'S are much higher than the real deal and it can be disappointing. I just bought my TU fico and it was 564, but the FAKO is 596. But atleast my scores are improving slowly but surely. 
I have to admire the cynicism of the Vantage score range, which goes from 501 to 990. Since FICO scores go from 300 to 850, a 600 on FICO might appear as a 760 on Vantage. (Completely making that up, btw, please don't think that there's a conversion factor, because there absolutely isn't.) Guess which score will make the consumer happier, and thereby increase the chances that he/she will buy a Vantage score again??
It reminds me of fine (aka, expensive) women's clothing. The clothing sizes tend to be much lower on the expensive clothing from normal clothing. So a woman who normally wears a 14 tries on a fantastically expensive outfit that claims to be size 10. Do you not think that the idea of wearing a 10 will make it easier for her to pay the extra money, even seeing the gimmick? It's just human nature.
And don't ask me about that crazy-high-priced tweed hunting jacket in my closet.
