Last month I had 11 revolving accounts > 50% utilization.
This month there will only be 5 accounts > 50%.
I will be curious to see if I get a score improvement, and if so how much.
So far none of the reduced accounts has reported, so I should have a pretty clear field for figuring out what effect there is from this.
Update 4/23/21. So the end result of moving from 11 accounts > 50% to 5 accounts > 50% was NOTHING. It didn't mean a thing. Not a single point. I guess next up is to try for 0 accounts > 50%, but it might take me a while to get there.
Update 4/30/21. Actually, my 4/23 update might not be entirely accurate. While the EQ and TU reports showed me at 5 accounts > 50%, EX was showing 6 accounts at that level, due to late reporting. Today, however, when the report finally corrected, and my EX report was down to 5 accounts > 50%, the FICO 8 score leapt 9 points, after not budging throughout the entire month. So perhaps there was some significance to it after all.
