Added a CC - What increase can be expected?

Hello All,

I recently added my fiance as a Joint Account holder on two CC's with positive(never late) credit history.  He currently has an AAoA of 4 years and one account is 3 years and the other is over 1.5 years old.  I know he will get a ding for them being younger than the current AAoA, but I'm hoping he'll get an overall increase.  He did not have any open revolving accounts before these two cards and has school loans and an auto loan.  One card is reporting a 8% util and the other is paid off to $0 every month.

Could anyone "guesstimate" what kind of increase he could see from adding these cards?  His middle score is 580 and we're hoping to reach 620 soon.  Any feedback would be appreciated!

Thanks!

When they "re-issued" the account to add him as a joint-holder, they may have erased the old account, and established a new one,. And that is legit,

They may even have done a hard inquiry on both of your CRs in order toi evaluate the "new" application for credit.,.  I dont know,   Adding a joint account holdr is not the same as just designating an AU to the account,.It is a re-negotiation of the account, entittlig them to credit pulls on both prospetive joint-account applicants, and total evauation of both of your CRs.,

That may have erased all prior account history on the old account, and set a new account, with a new date of account history.

Call them, and ask them how they processed it,.

Impact on credit score, for you or him, depends upon the actions of the creditor.
