Adding Aged Off Accounts to Increase Credit Score

I recently had a financial meltdown and am trying to rebuild my credit.  I have some old accounts that were closed and in good standing but have fallen off my credit report.  My question is- if it is infact possible to have the credit bureaus to add them back, would it help increase my credit score?

Probably not.  Closed accounts in good standing stay for up to 10 years then the CRAs clean house.

But at the same time, I have a few accounts that were paid off and closed more than 12 years ago and they are still reporting.  I think I shall keep hoping they don't get cleaned lol.
