Re: AoYA and Fico8

Strange TT.

I know reason codes start breaking down at high ranges (my theory is they give you ones that cannot be demonstratably proven false ever and therefore they can't get sued) but that seems like a stretch at the 5 year mark.

My file has other things still to complain (late on TU, CFA on EX/EQ, short history everywhere etc) so I'll see at the 1 year mark whether that stuff disappears... doesn't mean it's not a problem, it's just not a big enough one for FICO to bother me with in the top 4 reason codes.

Re: AoYA and Fico8

TT, CGID, BBS and all,

In appx 40 days, my CRs for EX and TU will get to 0 Inqs (EQ goes from 2 to 0 mid Dec), AAOA will be > 6Y 6M, and AOYA on revolvers/credit cards will pass the 1Y mark (except for small mortgage age 10M). Unsure if all Inqs/accounts will report all by most recent Inq (early Nov) or after most recent account reports being paid for 12th time. That said, in the next 45-60 days I'll report back on the effects of:

-AAoA > 6Y 6M

-Score impact as Inqs drop/most recent accounts report age exceed 1Y

-Impact of 1-2 new apps after all Inqs/most recent accounts exceed 1Y

-Impact, if any of CLIs (just got a 5K, expecting a few more)

-Score recovery from ind card utilization >41%, which had a 15 point score impact on my profile

-Any others unexpected effects that seems relevant

-Clean CR: 12 cards (total CL 200K); 1 mortgage; 6Y 5M AAoA; 4 -5 inq falling off >1Y; aggregate util now 6% dropping to <4%; 3 scores ~800

Not sure how helpful the insights will be, but if it helps us all get smarter about the innerworkings and impacts on FICO scores, happy to help
