BBS, I think the AoYA gain @ 3 and 6 months is limited to young or thin scorecards, so I think that leaves us out of these reindeer games. LOL.
Cassie When I say young, We mean past the AooA breakpoint, although we don't know what that is, 12, 15, 18 years? But good to know it affects ppl over 2 years, rules out the new account segmentation. Did you notice it happening to ppl with more than 10 accounts btw?
It happened to someone with AAoA around 7yrs here (in 1st reply to OP who had AAoA 15mo): https://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Understanding-FICO-Scoring/Age-of-Youngest-Account-3-month-threshold/td-p/5159274
Number of accounts was either not mentioned or nowhere close to 10 in the posts I could find. Most people only mention AAoA and not AoOA.
You guys are serious veterans at this credit game. I can't imagine the historical data at any bureau shows people with that much credit history to be as risky as someone like me with new credit cards. I mean, I'm a zero risk in reality, but I'm sure there's millions out there who got into trouble fast with new credit cards, and that will be a major factor in the logistic regression models used in credit scoring.
