Ask HSBC to report to Equifax?

Equifax currently 710 (well according to My Fico, according to creditor who pulled same day it is < 700 so maybe MyFico ain't MyFico but i digress) and mostly that low because of util (35%) and # of accounts with balances (9 of 16).

Anyway, wondering if I should ask HSBC, who does not report my card to Efax if they will. Assuming they will, will this help?

It turns 1 year old in Feb so won't hurt as 'new'. Will lower AA just a bit but not much (8+ years).  Balance is $2.5 out of $3k but that will be paid down to $0 so will give me another account in perfect standing and add 5% or so to avail credit and lower util a bit.

Re: Ask HSBC to report to Equifax?

Be careful with HSBC as they are the WORST on the planet about issues like this and I experienced a huge back lash when I simply asked that my full history be updated to be reflected. Instead they put on the comments "Consumer disputes account information" and then HSBC contacted me and I told them what I was asking for and instead of updating the report, the comment changed to "Consumer disputes account information, disputed concluded but consumer disagrees" which is all horse crap but it was there. I had to contact Equifax directly 3 times to get those comments removed and they are STILL THERE.
