And now we have to do joint, rather than AU. For us, that has worked out OK, and everything we want as joint is joint, so all is good. And I work on both sets of credit scores to make it OK for both of us if the unmentionable happens and one of us gets run over by a random SUV
MV, did you and DW do anything special in preparing to shift to joint status? For instance, was one set of scores lower than the others, and did you do any special work to shine them up? And did your CCC's (all 2 of them!) require the same scores that they would of a brand-new applicant, or was there a bit more flexibility?
My timetable for switching from AU to joint has been battered by my recent bucket promotion/ score demotion.

And unfortunately, the card I need to switch status on is Discover, one of the toughies. But I sure do need that 18 year history, and I was home running the store back in those days with a husband always on the road and ankle-biters at my feet.
And watch out for those random SUV's! I drive a 12-year-old Honda Accord, a perfectly normal-sized car, but what with the tiny blondes in the Navigators and the teenagers in the Hummers and the bubbas in the giant-tire trucks, my commute has gotten way too exciting.
