I was wondering about authorized users and credit scores. I started working on building credit about 2 years ago and now have 4 cards and decent scores. These are the first credit cards I have ever had but she has said that she had one before and it didnt go well, shes not always the best at keeping up with her bills. I was wondering if I added her name to one of my accounts if it would help to improve her credit and if it would have any adverse effect on mine? Im tempted to add her and her not even know it so she doesnt get any ideas about using it lol. I know that shes not very interested in them but I always figure it wouldnt hurt if we both could have decent credit too, or we will just keep putting everything in my name. Not worried about having any finacial problems from it, we own our own home and make a decent income and im in charge of making sure all the bills are paid. I have a basic capitol one, citi double cash, discover it, and am ex everyday. Thank you in advance for any input, I have read various things about AU and not sure which is true
she? what are both of your F8 scores and what cards do you have?

I have Capitol one (basic-platinum i think?), Citi double cash, discover it, and Amex everyday. As of right now, my scores report trans union 716, exquifax 693, Experian 697. We don’t know about her, having trouble getting it because no where can seem to verify her right now, our next mission...
try freecreditscore dot com. I just gave someone a cap1, everyday and chase for a month late last year and that is all it took..she had no pre-quals and the second the everyday hit her scores jumped 32 pts and the pre-quals happened. she also went from 106% to 1% so that did not hurt as well, she picked up 94pts from that. she got a $25K everyday and this was pretty much the first card she ever had, I was shocked. when the cap1 reported she got about another 12pt increase. she was in the low 600s
thank you, i will check that out
