My daughter is an authorized user on one of my credit cards. I am considering debt management. I would think taking her off the card FIRST would be a good thing to do but will that hurt her FICO score?
If the trade line gets deleted from her credit report then that could hurt her FICO score. However, it won't hurt her FICO score as badly as having the account being reported as being in a debt management program. She's better off if you remove her.
