Hi everyone, I recently applied for and got an Amex Everyday CC and my card says member since date as 2014. However, back in 1996 I had one or two Amex accounts in very good standing which I subsequently closed. Many years later I now got this brand new card. So I called Amex to give me the older member since date which they kindly obliged and told me they'll actually send me a new card in the mail that'll reflect my original relationship start date with them of 1996. Is there any way to use this to my advantage to also improve my Average Age of Accounts on my credit reports because currently it sucks because of several new accounts. Any help will be appreciated.

Correct. I just got an AMEX in June and a few weeks later my CR showed it going back in 2000 when I also had an AMEX.
