I filed for BK 7 on 3/28/16 and was discharged on 7/08/16. The BK is the only negative thing on any of my 3 reports. Should I be expecting a score change when the BK turns 2 years old? Would any change be from file or from discharge date? Hoping someone can let me know what to expect. Thanks in advance.
Is the BK your most recent negative? If it is I would expect a score bump at 2 years. If you have a negative more recent than 2 yrs, you may not see a score increase since Fico counts how recent is the negative.
Thanks for replying. My BK is my only and most recent negative. The only account I included in the BK aged off my report a few months after my BK discharge. I was wondering if I might be put in a new scorecard and maybe even lose points.
Thanks- I have a really good rebuild. I’m just wondering about the effect of the BK 7 aging to two years old. I was wondering if I will get rebuckted to a better scorecard and lose points or if I might gain points when my newest derogatory ages to two years old. Current FICO 8 scores: EQ 697 TU 724 Ex 726
I tried the calculator. It wasn’t specific enough about BK. I put me 35 points lower than I am now. It has a range of 1 to 3 years for last derogatory. I was wondering if 2 years specifically was somehow special but that won’t tell me. I hope I’m not about to drop 35 points.
