BT points hit (used to pay off motorcycle loan)

I transferred 6.9K by paying off a motorcycle loan using Penfed BT. The credit limit is 10K.

Both EXP and TU reported drops (802 to 790; 811 to 797).
I am sure i will get some back since the loan (DCU) has yet to report - just curious how much. Also, when it does report - guess I'll find out firsthand how much the util of that one card cost me (all other CCs are < 5%).
I will still have a car loan (just that and cc for credit mix).
The aggregate util is around 7% (before DCU reports). I also thought about asking PenFed for a CLI - but the account is fairly new (< 1 year)

Re: BT points hit (used to pay off motorcycle loan)

I would only expect a score increase from paying off the DCU loan if the remaining loan has a lower util than the average of the two previously.

Unless you have other borrowing where the score difference would be a factor, I would just leave it be. OTOH, as long has a CLI request doesn't incur an HP, not much to lose by asking.
