My statement closes on the 16th of each month. My score is updated on the 19th. Is their enough time for the balance that just closed to be figured into the score 3 days later or is the score based on the previous month? I'm fine tuning my score before I contact them for some luv next month.
Thanks!
Maybe with EX but not with TU, takes about a week for updates to post for me. EQ within 4 days normally. Barclay doesnt update the Fico every month, they state typically every 10 weeks.

Yep, mine has never updated monthly. The time frame has been very inconsistent.
Usually it's 10 weeks, but when there's major change in your score, it will be more frequent.
Barclay has updated my score every other month (every eight weeks) almost like clockwork, for the past 9 months or so.
My statement closes on the 16th. I'm wondering if my score update on the 19th of next month will take the balance from the 16th into consideration. Will it be reported/scored by then?
Do you have a CreditKarma account? If so, just arrange for the weekly TU/EQ pull for the date you want. If it is on the TU report, then TU uses it for your credit score.
You may also want to check to make sure that the date Barclay reports for your credit score is the same date they do the SP. The date may be accurate, but I haven't checked.
Yes I do. Mine pulls on Saturdays. I keep track of scores and reports in many places so I might be forgetting this. Other than pulling my actual credit reports, where can I see who has done soft pulls? Looking at CK now, they show HPs. Most of the other sites that I'm on do also. I can probably sign into the TU site to look there.
I messaged Barclay about this and this was there response:
Thank you for contacting us regarding your Barclaycard Rewards MasterCard. We can certainly address your inquiry regarding the FICO® score on your account.
Please be advised that we receive updated information from TransUnion once every 10 weeks, or whenever there are certain changes to your credit file (new account openings, new inquiries for credit, etc.). Whenever that updated information affects your FICO® Score, we will send you an email alert letting you know that your FICO® Score has changed.
So in other words, every 10 weeks or something reports that would alert them that you are seeking new credit.
