Bureau Scores

I just got off the phone with Nordstrom, inquiring about several things - one of them Visa card requirements.  I was told that in order to get a visa, the score they get from Equifax would need to be in the 700's (their Visa product as I think all Visa/MC/ETC, are not completely score driven like store cards seem to be).

This led me to thinking:  What score would Nordstrom actually obtain from Equifax? Would it be Fico04, Fico 98 or could it be a custom product sold by the bureas, made just for retail stores that offer Visa products as well?  I mean, I might be 700's in Fico98, but I might be 650 in some other scoring product.

Any input is always appreciated. Thank you.

Re: Bureau Scores

I am only aware of TU98 and TU04, did not know that equifax had multiple products available to consumers. Typically the score you pull from here, or from equifax will match what the lenders pull unless it is an "auto-enhanced score, etc."

Starting Score: 627 EQ, 621 TU - 11/15/08
Current Score: 778 EQ, 781 TU, 778 EXP 07/20/12 Lender Pull
Goal Score: 800 EQ & TU

Re: Bureau Scores

Thanks CDTotten, I am not sure IF there is a custom product that EQ offers certain clients either. My question is probably like asking for the secret coke recipe! lol
