CO account removed from report, but collection still there. Effect on score?

I have a CC that was charged-off. It went in to collection. Recently, the original account was removed from Equifax. The collection is still there, that's not going anywhere and I am dealing with it. But will the removal of the account itself (with all the late payments and COs) help my score?

Maybe?

Not enough information provided to guess. Really depends on what else is on your reports.
