Capital One.... arrrggghhh!!!! Odd “dispute” code

Hey folks, I think I'm being irrationally paranoid right now, but because I'm in the midst of underwriting on a mortgage on which I hope to close in a few weeks I'm not ignoring anything. Recently, capital one for some reason reported my balance on one of my cards earlier than the statement close date and it caused my utilization to go up, my available credit to go down, and I lost an average of about 11 points across the three bureaus. I called Capital One to find out why they did this and they claim that it was because there was some kind of dispute that was made, but according to the CSR it was not a dispute against capital one. Regardless, I have no idea what they were referencing because I have been disputed anything in the time period that was referenced for this Recently, capital one for some reason reported my balance on one of my cards earlier than the statement close date and it caused my utilization to go up, my available credit to go down, and I lost an average of about 11 points across the three bureaus. Regardless, I have no idea what they were referencing because I haven't disputed anything in the time period that was referenced for this off cycle report. In any event, I was reassured that it would report as normal after the statement close and I expect I will get those points back. In addition to contacting the CSR I also sent an email to my favorite CEO email address for capital one that I had previously used for goodwill attempts. In the letter I asked if they could explain why they did what they did and if they could report what was by then as zero balance to the credit bureau in advance of the statement date. After that, I forgot about it.

today, I received a letter from capital one thanking me for contacting them, explaining nothing, and noting that they have "placed a disagreement code with a resolution of dispute on your credit file to the major credit reporting agencies." As far as I can tell this is essentially meaningless code, but am I wrong about this? Is this the kind of thing that will bite me in the middle of my underwriting process? I did immediately send another email to my CEO email address and explain to them that I was simply seeking information and did not intend to dispute anything. I asked them to remove any remarks from my credit that indicated I was in dispute with them. So I'm hoping that solves the problem. Can anyone see an issue with what's going on here? Or am I in fact being irrationally paranoid. as far as I can tell this is essentially a meaningless code, but am I wrong about this? For some reason your words paragraphs got doubled a couple times, you might want to edit it and break it into paragraphs it would be easier to read.

Obviously it’s best not to have any remarks when you go for underwriting for a mortgage, so if you could get rid of it that would be optimal. But you would need to provide us the exact language for us to give further advice, but it appears they simply said dispute resolved and it will probably say in favor of furnisher or consumer.

Closed resolved dispute shouldn’t really hurt anything, but some UW are finicky.
