Car Loan

I have a car loan, the monthly payment is 173 x 36 mo.  I've been paying extra on it since I've had the loan.  I have about 3,000 left to pay.  I could pay it off in the next 6-8 months.  But should I?  Or would it be best to keep the account opnen and show a longer payment history?  Second question, are the score on Free Credit Report.COM "Fakos"?

Re: Car Loan

If you can pay it off early and eliminate interest, why not do so?

Yes, as catchy as some of the jingles are, they are FAKO scores. The only places you can get real FICOs are as follows:

myfico.com--all three reports

Equifax--EQ only

Transunioncs.com--TU only

Besides the FIs that offer to their members/customers for free, every other credit score you get will be a FAKO.

Starting Score: 469
Current Score: 824
Goal Score: 850
Highest Scores: EQ 850 EX 849 TU 850
