Chase AU to joint with no inquiries

I just wanted to provide some insight on chase I have been an AU on my wife's chase freedom which was opened in 2006 with clean history. We filled a form requesting that I be added as a joint member Done in 24 hours no hard inquiries Same thing to our Macy's card Just wanted to share for anyone that maybe thinking about a similar move I do have a question to the experienced members. Does going from AU to joint affect the score??

Nope not one bit. The only difference is that if there is default with account they have one extra person to hold liable for the bill. Thats great by the way. GOOD JOB!!

Re: Chase AU to joint with no inquiries

No reason for the mockery and pretty much a useless comment I handle our financials jointly so the reality is its a joint responsibility regardless of the CRA Wording I was just taking my name off some of AU accounts , and those two happen to offer the joint option

Re: Chase AU to joint with no inquiries

Actually the Chase account will make a difference! Chase does not report AU account, but does report joint!! I just was added as a joint last month and that is what Chase told me... : )

I was not mocking you .Smiley Surprised Sorry if you misunderstood.  I was not aware that chase does not report AU. If they were reporting becoming a joint hholder it would not change how it effects your score. Just liability.
