Cleaning up TU

TU is the last of the CRAs that has baddies reporting to it. 2 paid collections that won't drop until 2018. What are the chances that, if I write a goodwill letter to the collection agency asking them to stop reporting them, my TU will finally be clean?

It really is a guessing game, and sometimes more a matter of chance. You can send out multiple requests and get nothing. Then, suddenly the next try it works. One thing is for sure, you don't stand a chance if you do not try, and you have nothing to lose!

This is a very difficult question to answer without knowing much about your credit report.  Tell us a bit about your TU report for better responses.
